Ann DickersonAnn has 27 years of experience in public relations, including 15 years with JohnstonWells. As a media guru, she continues to develop her strong and successful track record with national, regional and local media programs. She is also an expert in community and consumer relations and audience development.

Ann developed and executed media relations and communications strategies and programs for notable JohnstonWells clients such as PacifiCare, Vascular Disease Foundation, Martek BioSciences, Archer Daniels Midland Corporation, Qwest Communications, NetQuote, Covidien Respiratory and Monitoring, Hogan & Hartson, American Medical Response, PAR Technology Corporation, Great Western Trust Bank and Medical Simulation Corporation.

Because of her extensive communications experience and problem-solving acumen in corporate settings, she is the firm’s director of creativity. In addition, because her analytical approach to media relations produces outstanding results for clients, she also serves as the firm’s expert resource on media strategy.  In these roles, she consults with all account teams.

Prior to joining JohnstonWells, Ann was director of public relations for Brother’s Gourmet Coffees, Inc., a national consumer product available in 10,000 grocery stores. At that time she managed communications during a roll up of four regional coffee companies leading to the Company’s sale and through its initial public offering. From 1983 to 1992 she was the public information officer in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Metropolitan State College of Denver, and was later promoted to director of audience development, where she managed promotions, executive positioning, advertising and community outreach programs.

Ann has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She and her husband have traveled extensively on land and sea.
