D.H. Ruggles & Associates, a full-service residential and commercial architecture and interior design firm, has added Jody Yehle as director of architecture.

In this new position, created to support company growth, Yehle will lead a team of 10 architects and designers and manage new business prospects. Prior to joining D.H. Ruggles & Associates, Yehle worked extensively in the resort, mixed-use residential and entertainment fields in the United States and Asia.

Yehle was involved in developing several guides to Denver’s historic architecture, including the Wyman District neighborhood. She is a licensed architect in Colorado, with an emphasis in construction administration and contract documents. Yehle is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council, and she served on the City of Denver’s committee to evaluate the 2006 International Building Code and assist in the development of Denver’s amendments to the code.

Yehle’s design studies include a semester at the University of Helsinki, where she focused on the Finnish model of landscape and building with a holistic approach to design, which is integral to Finnish architecture. She has traveled extensively in the Scandinavian countries and studied their modernist approach to architecture as well as furniture and interior design.

Yehle received her bachelor of fine arts and master of architecture degrees from the University of Colorado, Denver.
