Michael Adams Senior Counselor Director of Web Services Division Mike has more than 14 years of experience implementing marketing communications and public relations programs for a variety of companies. His background is primarily in the high-tech, real estate and energy industries, with additional experience designing, developing and managing Web sites. He joined JohnstonWells in 2003.
As a member of the JohnstonWells executive management team, Mike is the leadership contact for human resources, professional development, technology and a number of client teams. In addition, he is director of the JW Web Services division, which provides strategy and development of online communication tools such as Web sites, blogs, forums, wikis and social networking sites. Previously, Mike was JohnstonWells' team leader for Qwest Communications and McStain Neighborhoods.
Prior to JohnstonWells, Mike was the marketing communications manager for Encorp Inc., a leading manufacturer of power technology products and energy management software. After joining the company as its fifth employee, he utilized public relations, advertising and Web marketing to promote the company to a variety of OEMs, end users, energy traders and electric and gas utilities.
Mike also worked as director of marketing at WebAccess Intl., a Denver-based Internet service provider, where he was responsible for all marketing communications, public relations, product marketing and channel partner programs. He began his career as marketing coordinator for the Woodward Governor Company, the worldwide leader in industrial energy control technologies.
In 2006, Mike graduated from the inaugural class of Impact Denver, a six-month civic leadership program by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce that addresses a variety of topics such as K-12 education, transportation, healthy communities, diverse communities, and quality of life.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in communications management from Colorado State University.
