Kathryn Wilson Counselor Kathryn joined JohnstonWells Public Relations in 2002, bringing creative thinking and enthusiasm to the JohnstonWells team. She has participated in numerous community and media relations campaigns for clients including Qwest Communications, Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Enstrom Candies and the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC).
Prior to joining JohnstonWells, Kathryn worked for Conrad, Phillips and Vutech Advertising Agency as an intern account coordinator and assistant media buyer, focusing on health care and consumer product campaigns. Her knowledge of advertising and public relations makes her a valuable team member for integrated marketing efforts.
Kathryn facilitates JohnstonWells’ signature Cocktail Talk programs including presentations to Goodwill Industries of Denver, the National Kidney Foundation, the American Lung Association, Mile High Down Syndrome Association and many more.
She is a board member for Colorado Youth At Risk, a local mentoring organization for at-risk youth, and The Denver Press Club and has provided pro bono public relations support and counsel to a number of Denver nonprofit organizations including YouthBiz and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
Kathryn is a committee chair of the Public Relations Society of America Colorado Chapter and is a past winner of PRSA Colorado's statewide Rookie of the Year honor. The Ohio State University Alumni Association recently named her one of three national recipients of its William Oxley Thompson Award, which recognizes career achievement and significant community involvement by alumni under age 36.
Kathryn earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and social issues with a minor in Spanish from The Ohio State University.
