DENVER — Suzanne Trantow and Kathryn Wilson of JohnstonWells Public Relations were recently recognized by the arts and non-profit communities in Denver. Wilson was selected for the Colorado Business Council for the Arts (CBCA) in 2005 to participate in its Leadership Arts program. Upon graduating, she was selected to serve as an at-large member of the Community Relations Council for the Denver Center for Performing Arts (DCPA). The Council aims to advise and support DCPA in its goal of serving the community through the celebration of diversity in the arts. In addition, Wilson was selected to serve on the board of Colorado Youth at Risk (CYAR), an organization that deeply impacts high-risk teenagers and those around them through intensive community-based mentoring.
Trantow continues JohnstonWells’ involvement in the Leadership Arts program this year, exploring cultural venues and learning from Colorado's local experts and community leaders about becoming a member of an arts board. “We believe strongly in the importance of a vibrant arts community in Denver,” JohnstonWells’ CEO Gwin Johnston said. “It has the power to inspire creativity, which is fundamental to what we do, and we’re proud that Suzanne and Katie are continuing the company tradition of involvement in the arts.” JohnstonWells has a long history of supporting the arts in Colorado. The offices at 1512 Larimer St. are filled with more than 200 pieces of folk art Johnston has collected over the company’s 35 years in business from local, national and international artists. As a result, JohnstonWells was awarded the CBCA’s Creative Workspace of the Year award in 2004. |
