Gina M. Seamans, APR Senior Counselor With 18 years of experience, Gina offers an extensive background in various public relations service areas including media relations, community relations, employee communications, issues management, crisis communications, special event planning, business-to-business communications and executive positioning. Seamans has represented clients in numerous industries, including health care, construction, retail, consumer products, food products, financial services, professional services, technology, travel and tourism.
Gina began her career at JohnstonWells and then went on to build and operate a successful consulting practice from 1998 through mid-2007. She and her staff represented local and national clients including international media outreach for client DigitalGlobe, which provided the world captivating satellite imagery of both the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005; the national launch of the world’s first Microsoft-powered sewing machine for Bernina of America; and building award-winning online media rooms for several clients that led to her firm earning the “PR Innovation of the Year” distinction from PRWeek magazine.
Gina also worked for four years in local government public affairs.
Gina is a 16-year member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and in 1999 obtained her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification. From 1996 to 2002 and again beginning in 2005, she served on PRSA Colorado's local Board of Directors and in 2009 will serve as the chairwoman for PRSA Colorado Chapter. She received the 2001 PRSA Chapter Service Award and was named PRSA Rookie of the Year in 1994. In 2002, she was named to The Denver Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list of local business leaders and was a finalist for The Denver Business Journal’s “Outstanding Women in Business” award.
Gina, a third-generation Colorado native, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Journalism.
