JohnstonWells opened its Rocky Mountain Seed Company building headquarters to more than 100 visitors during the annual Doors Open Denver tours this past Saturday. It was JohnstonWells’ first year participating in Doors Open Denver, the local annual celebration of Denver's most treasured architectural gems, which was hosted by the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs and the Denver Architectural Foundation. This year's theme, "Denver Redo: Buildings with a Second Life” was very fitting for the Rocky Mountain Seed Company, as JohnstonWells’ transformation of the 132-year-old building has given a completely new purpose to what was home to a local seed company for 87 years. Many of the visitors who toured the Rocky Mountain Seed Company were just as excited to see the whimsical folk art collection that decorates JohnstonWells’ offices, as they were about the renovation of the historic building. |
